Lurking is a survival thriller game, where sound is the only way to see, and they hear your fears.

 

Players need to explore a creepy underground facility in order to escape, but they are only able to 'see' by emitting sound. Through the use of objects strewn around in the area and also through the microphone input, players need to find a way past a group of deranged people that seems strangely drawn to anything that makes noise.

 

This project is a first attempt at the horror genre, and the usage of microphone input is intended to further blur the lines between reality and the digital world. 

 

Year 3 project in Digipen Institute of Technology, Singapore for Bachelor of Arts in Games Design.
